Jul. 28th, 2003 08:11 pmSome people are so confident of themselves and their abilities. Master is considering applying for a new job. He says if the company is hiring, and it comes down to Him or the other three who are considering the position, it will be His hands down. i don't have that ability.
When i applied for this job, i knew i had all the qualifications, and had great credentials, and excellent experience, but i didn't know if i would get it or not. i had no idea who i was competing against. i know my situation was different than the one Master is in right now, but it got me thinking.
There are some people i read/listen to/talk with who are so cocksure of themselves. i find them hard to take. They speak as if the great authority on whatever topic is under discussion, when all the while they are only espousing their own opinion. The deciding point is that they are confident of what they are saying. Whether it is true or not, many will believe them because they speak out with such force or confidence. i don't know if i would want that kind of confidence or not. Or if it even is confidence or is something else. Oh well.
i know what i know and i know it well, but i seldom have to feel as i am speaking from authority. That may or may not make sense, but i know what i mean.
i need to take a bath.
