Jul. 29th, 2003 08:08 pmi've been talking to Daughter about our trip. i'm getting more and more excited as we talk. She's made the arrangements for the car. i'll rent one for two weeks. That way there should be no big hurry to get back. She and i have never had a trip together. Her brother and i went to Nepal, and had a great time. So this is her turn. Not Nepal, but i'm no longer up to trekking through the Himalaya's.
Now i have to find that routing website so i can figure out how to get to Fort Lauderdale. Maybe Auntie Nurse can ask get me a routing through AAA. i told Daughter to ask Grammy one more time if she wants to along. If she says no, then Daughter is going to reserve the car.
We had a nice discussion about taking along some books on tape. She can listen if she gets bored, and so can i. And she can listen at night while i sleep, or whatever. i am a bit concerned about leaving on a driving trip so soon after i get back to the states.
Jet lag hits me hard and at odd times. But if i have a passenger with me to talk to, i think it will be ok.
i will have to find some places to stop along the way back so the drive won't be so monotonous. It would be kind of cool to camp on the way down, i wonder if Son would loan us a tent and some sleeping bags? i shall have to ask.
