Today was a busy day. We got lots of things done and still had plenty of day left over. Master was commenting on it as we took the dog out. I mentioned to Him that we got a good early start. We both got the insurance for the cars renewed. I got a new windshield in the Emerson. The old windshield had two cracks in it, several rock pits, and lots of little sand blasts. I've lucked out for three years now with one crack, but I don't want to press my luck with two. I sat outside the glass shop and watched as the men took the old one out and put the new one in. It took about 30 minutes and cost about $60. Then we went and got the oil changed and got Emerson filled with gas. I have to have the car inspected this coming week and get the registration renewed, and so does Master. Tomorrow we are going to take both of them to the car wash and have the engines steam cleaned.
Took the dog to the vet again for more injections. He seems to have latched on to some viral thing. Four shots yesterday, and four again today. But he's on the road to wellness. So for the next three days we just have to give him two pills in the morning and two in the evening. Got him some more vitamins while we were there too.
Took him out for a desert run today. He's going to think he has to go to the vet before he can go run from now on. It was so beautiful out today Master decided we would have a desert picnic. We stopped at Hardee's and got some sandwiches and drinks and drove back out in the desert. We carry a card table and two chairs in the trunk of my car just for occasions like this. The dog loves it. This evening while we were eating, he was worrying a piece of plywood to death. He is so funny to watch. In the distance we could hear a dog barking. Max would growl and fuss at the board, but when he heard the other dog, his bat ears would perk right up for a few seconds. Then he'd go back to the board. Such a dumb dog.
On top of all this, I am nearly done with the laundry. It was a good day.
