jdmkleini got lots done last night. The salad is made and in the fridge, the sweet potatoes are cooked and ready to be made into LMSG's casserole. The stuffing for the bird is in there too, and the bird is finishing up defrosting in the microwave. Today i have two pies to bake, a cheese tray to make, table coths to iron, the table to set, the dogs to fight and floors to clean. Also have to make a last minute present run. i hope i can survive the day.
We opened presents last night. It always feels a bit uncomfortable for me. i'm accustomed, even after all these years, to have family around to share the presents. With only Master it's a small gathering and over in a few minutes. He gave me a gold chain and pendant, but that's not really what it is. On one side is may name in English, on the other is my name in Arabic. It is beautiful and something i can wear all the time. He got me a new coffee maker, a grinder and two kinds of beans. And to drink it all, i got a car mug from starbuck's. And my very own 12-pack of AA batteries. Kewl! eh? And another jaguar to add to my collection. Love the style, hate the paint job, but i won't tell Him that.
i gave him two new sweat shirts, a pair of sweat pants, a new French briefcase, and some floor mats for His car. He thinks of imanginative gifts, i don't have that facility.
Tomorrow He promised we can stay in bed a long time and snuggle. i like that idea.
