jdmkleinBills are paid for the month, have to get rent money out of the bank to have when the man comes to collect. Have to give Rani her year end bonus with her salary next week. Really should find a card for her, but why change a tradition?
Amel explained the pay schedule to me. i'm somewhat satisfied, so will proctor final exam. Noor and i will grade all of the Eng.99 the same day. We may go out for coffee to do it rather than stay in the offices. Much nicer atmosphere out than in, and no student interuptions.
i'm not sure what is going on between K and Amel. K always gets a different set of information than i do. She called last night, we kvetched about nursing for a bit. i'm pretty sure she is going to teach there next semester too. Funny thing, me they want, and won't get, her they would just as soon not have, but probably will get. The part time money is good, better than the uni's part time pay, and the physical plant is pretty, and new, but so many things are missing, it's the infrastructure that is so messed up. i could use the money, but i have some integrity left. i'm not going to prostitute myself. i consider myself to be a professional, and the way nursing is set up, i wouldn't be able to feel that way teaching there again. Now, if they commissioned me to write some materials for them to use, that might be a different story. Or, asked me to set up some kind of organizational system, for money, i'd sell out in a heart beat. But i won't teach there again, until there are some failsafes in place. At least i didn't burn the bridge.
i am to be vegetarian until He gets back. And He wants me clean-shaven, but not too recently. i know it's the 29th but don't know the expected arrival time. He took a motherboard back to fix His daughter's computer. He thinks the airport x-ray fried it. That's about all i know from Him.
Daughter, on the other hand, went out to lunch with Auntie Nurse Monday, and shopping for the spousal gift. Auntie Nurse asked where, smart Sarah said Best Buy because she had a gift card from there. Best Buy it was. Spousal gift was bought, and Sarah got some DVDs. All in all a good time was had. Grandmother stayed home. Then Sarah went out to the dance. Met up with some girls she knows from group, and their friends. No new 'friends' for her yet, but she is meeting people and getting out and having a good time. Mother says she even whistles around the house, a sure sign of a happy camper in my family.
How much trouble to use tile paint on ceramic tiles in the bathroom? The fixtures are dark, sort of wine color, red, the floor tiles are light pale gray, the wall tiles are cream with a bit of an orangey overlay and have small flower decorations in all four corners, and the odd one has no corner decoration but a flower in the middle. i know the flowers will stand out over the paint, but gadzooks i hate the combo. i was thinking a light gray to coordinat with the floor, since i'm not about to paint that. The ceiling is white. i'm just about convinced this is how i shall spend my christmas. My towels are sage green, burgandy( to sort of go with the fixtures) and white. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Slept well last night. Went to bed about 11, read for a few minutes and then dropped right off. Woke up at 4:50 this a.m. without regaining consciousness once. Of course it was with chemical help. i guess in this respect i am doomed to follow the path of my sister and mother. Both of whom have been on sleeping medication for years. Mother probably most of sister's life. Can't get the drug here, am not first class Kuwaiti, so i dole the ones i have out like they were heroin. Next time i'm home, guess i got to go to the doc for a scrip.
