jdmkleinGot a message from Him. He got home ok. Had to move from the seat He was given on the Amsterdam/Huston leg, the flight had been oversold, so since He is a platinum Flying Dutchman card holder, He got moved up to first class. Poor baby. Then when He got to Huston, He went to Budget to get His car. Took the bus out to the lot, the spot was empty. Seems the car had been rented. So He had to take a Sebring. Poor baby. The only bad thing about His trip, apparently is that the motel He stayed in last night didn't have an internet connection.
I got a rain day today. It took me over 2 hours to get about 3 km from the campus this morning. Then i got a phone call from one of the other teachers at the Nursing College telling me the college had closed for the day, all the roads on the campus were underwater and there was flooding all around it. So i called the uni and asked about that place since it is right across the street. Jamal told me very few students had shown up for class but the campus was still open. i said i wasn't going to try to get there because of the flooding. He said that was not a problem for him. So i turned around and it took me another 90 minutes to get back home.
Because of all the time out in the elements today, i think i'm coming down with a sore throat. It feels a bit scratchy tonight. i've been doing the lion pose every time i think of it, but i don't think i caught it early enough. Film at 11 tomorrow. And i'm feeling a bit sick to my stomach, too. blah!
