If it weren't for bad luck

jdmkleinMaster is home tonight. That's good and bad. The good is that He is here, He is safe, i will have someone to snuggle tonight in bed. The bad is that Max is so excited to see his Master. Max was running in the front room and sideswiped me in the worst knee. i went down like a brick. Max, ever curious, turning on a dime, came back to see what was happening, and his head and my nose collided. i have a split fat lip. So, now i'm lmping when i walk, i talk funny, and i have a headache.
Other strange stuff
The doorbell rang this morning at 1:36 a.m. i know this because i looked at the clock when the ringing woke me up. i got out of bed and tiptoed to the front door. i heard American voices. Apparently two, maybe three, men had just gotten in country and were trying to hook up with their accommodations before going up north. i got this listening through the door. Thank goodness for cell phones. One of the men was on his talking to whoever lives in the apartment they were looking for. They apparently got the right complex, wrong building.
Kuwait is not a big country by anyone's standards, yet today it rained in several places at several different times, and with several intensities. i took Max out to the desert. The road was wet in several places along the way, and dry in others. The desert itself had puddles. Go figure.
One of Master's workers had an accident today with a local. Totaled both vehicles. Master kept the worker out of jail. One of the military people got medivac'ed out to Arifjan. They don't know exactly what is wrong with her, but she got some superficial cuts on her face, her head hit the windshield. The airbag didn't deploy. There is no 'real' doc at Camp so everyone who migh be a risk is flown out. Master is going to go out to see her tonight. He doesn't think anything serious is wrong with her, but He's glad she is getting looked after.
Lentils are good food.
