jdmkleinMaster will be back sometime today. i have many things to do before He gets here this afternoon. i realized last night that this traveling back and forth creates even more stuff than His early to bed, early to rise routine. Getting back after 3:30 on Thursdays makes an awfully short weekend for us. i don't know how we will get the 'needful' things done, such as pay the bills, etc. Perhaps He will entrust those chores to me. The fact that this is a cash society makes bill paying a real chore. Can't just write a check and drop it in the mail for two reasons: 1)only businesses have checking accounts, i know of no one in this country with a private account, and 2) the mail system sucks. There is the option of paying by debit account or whatever that is called, but then one runs into the problem of being debitted two or three or even more times per month for the same bill. No, paying bills is not fun in this country. Therefore we have chosen the option to pay in chuncks. The phone bill is paid yearly, in advance, the cable/computer bills are paid for quarterly. Unfortunately, ,they all don't come due at the same time. Fortuantely, the water and electricity for the apartment are included in the rent. i don't even know where those offices are located.
i am happily knitting my evenings away. i am getting so good at this sock thing i can do one in two days. If i had a whole day to spend on it, today perhaps, for example, i might be able to turn one out in a day. The down side to this is i will run out of nice yarn very quickly if i keep this up. The upside is that one of these days i might just have a MATCHED pair of stockings. Now my family and friends will all have to move to really cold snowy climates, so they can make good use of the beautiful hand-crafted gifts from their vagabond relative.
Max is sharing his dinner bowl with Sgt. Pepper. Should i be the one to tell him it would be easier to eat his food with Sgt Pepper OUT of the bowl?
It is a gorgeous morning. The a/c is off, the windows are open, there is a moderately warm breeze coming from the north. Blowing my Master back to me.
