jdmkleinSarah had a great time at camp. She won the tree climber award. She went horse riding, canoeing, there was a camp out, she went on the burma bridge and the zipride. She was the only one in her group that could talk, so i'm sure she talked for all of them. She has a friend, Kathy Jo, and exchanged email addresses. There was a dance the last night. And best of all, there was no seizure activity noted on her report. i left a nice donation, she will be going back next year. Kathy Jo is about 3 months older than Sarah. They made ice cream and cookies, and had an international cuisine evening. She did leather work, and they made candles but they didn't get to swim. She said she felt very useful because the other women in her group were all wheelchair bound. i am so happy she had such a good time.
Mother, Sarah, and i are going to California to see brother and his family. Iowa truly is in mid-America. The ticket to Annaheim is nearly the same as the one to New Jersey. Lucky me, i will be on the East coast next weekend, and the West coast the following weekend. With long drives in between. i will be in the northern U.S. next Friday, and in the south the following Thursday. i should be able to say i have been all over the U.S. by the end of the summer.
Tomorrow is Mother's b'day. She wanted the Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse for dinner. i have to call John and Ellen to see if they want to join us. Maybe they can bring John's Mother. Eileen, Pat and Lani and the kids, Sarah, Mother, John, Ellen, Vi, and me. Should make a nicey nice day for Mother. Then Sunday on to the boat ride and overnight in the resort hotel.
Am trying to figure out how to get the Sunday deal done without giving away all the details to Mother. But she will have to take a change of clothes and her meds. This is going to be tricky. On the way to the swim tomorrow Eileen and i will have to make our devious plans. The CA trip is going to be Sarah's b'day gift. With maybe another trinket or two on the day. i feel as if i am spending money hand over fist this summer. Oh, wait, i am. i wonder if i can order a very loose machine in AC next weekend???
