We are alone again, and will be it seems for at least the next few days. We took a 'nap' together this afternoon, with the hint for a 'go to bed early' night and a little bit more. We shall see.
For dinner we packed a picnic and took the doog for a desert run. Max misses the desert. He enjoys the attention he gets on a city run, but he do love having the whole desert to roam. We left about 45 minutes before sundown, and stayed out until well after dark. We would have come off the desert sooner, in fact i wish we had, but Mr. King Dog of the Desert lost his collar and we spent about 20 minutes redriving our desert route looking for it. No joy. Tomorrow, while the TCNs are out at Arifjan getting their KAC cards, He will go back out and look for it. If He doesn't find it He will stop at the vet and get a new one and drop it by the apartment before He goes up north.
The swim this morning. i couldn't find my rhythm. It was a struggle so i didn't get the usual distance even though i did the time. i hate swims like that. As i was swimming i thought about my time in Taiwan; i'd go out on a Saturday night, stay out till dawn, drink enough beer to float a boat, and still get my daily swim in. Ah, yes, grasshopper, but you were much younger then. Ten years or more. i wonder how my Taiwinian friends are doing?
Maybe i can take Master back to meet them and show Him my old haunts.
We have started talking about next winter vacation already. Master is going to try to get back to Texas for Christmas. He wants to be around for His granddaughter's first b'day. Then, maybe we are going to go to the Ukraine. Hmmm, is it colder there than in Germany in winter?
The burns on my hand aren't going to blister, but i imagine the one on top is going to peel.
