Nov. 6th, 2004 08:01 pmThis is the time of year Kuwait is a beautiful country, when the temps are down to the upper 70s/lower 80s. Windows are wide open, there is a gorgeous breeze off the ocean. A great night for the swing, if i had someone to swing with. But alas and alack, my love is gone north. boo hoo, woe is me.
Sarah is sleeping in today, so Mother has taken her place. For now we are having a decent convo. Her part of the state is expecting snow next week. Well what can you expect, it is November already.
i let my boys interview me today. There was a method to my madness. Their homework assignment it to write 10 sentences about things they learned about me. And they have to use the simple present tense. The goal is to get them to realize that the third person singular form of verbs always has a spelling change. They know this, but they don't apply it. i have told them if they don't remember anything else from this semester, i want them to remember that, and use it. We shall see how they do. They had so much fun asking questions, i think they forgot to take notes. Tuesday i will give the girls the same chance. They do ask interesting questions.
