The excuse Master uses for coming back on Wednesday nights is that He has so much running to do for work that He doesn't want to give up his one day off a week to do it. We left the apartment about 8 this morning and didn't get back until after 3 this afternoon. i took work along so i would have something to do while i sat in the truck, waiting. We spent a nice day together. Well, more together than if He had gone out on His own today and i stayed home to grade. i probably got more work done in the truck than if i had stayed home. i can always find something else to do at home. i'm sort of captive in the truck.
The other good thing about riding with Him is i am fast becoming a store house of knowledge on where to find all sorts of things. Today i found the place to get the steel banding to put around pallets to the contents doesn't fall off, among other things. Last week i learned where to get stretch wrap to wrap around pallets to things don't fall off. i learned where to buy concertina wire too, today, although that wasn't something He was looking for. That shop just happened to be next door to the steel band shop. And if anyone wants fittings for wire mesh hoses i can show how to get there too.
i am still feeling pretty undepressed. i guess it really has passed.
Master's daughter is getting married, again. In December. He will be gone for Christmas, my birthday, and New Year's Eve. And this probably means no vacation together either. But i am going someplace for semester break. i'm still working on back to the states.
i have also been thinking about a different car. Emerson is a perfectly fine car, but just once in my life i would like to have a car that is mine that i really really want. Not one that is suitable or appropriate. So, just for fun today on the way home this afternoon, we stopped at a place that has some cars for sale by owners and looked at a jag. It was a '99, and the owner wants some money and then the buyer takes over the note. Cash to owner wasn't too bad, and monthly payment wasn't bad either, but there was no clue as to how many months. If there was a year left, it would be a good deal. Much more than that, not so good. We also looked at a Range Rover, but it was WAY more than i would pay for a new car, let alone a used one. i guess i'm not as rich as i thought i was. boo hoo.
i think tomorrow we are going to go for a desert walk. (i hope.)
