things -- in no particular order
Jun. 23rd, 2004 07:47 pm1. By my calculations, Sarah has just finished her first visit with the new counselor. Today's visit was at home, with Mother, Auntie Nurse, and Sarah, together. The number of visits per week and times are also to be decided. i know this will be good for her, but i have some anxiety.
2. Tomorrow may be Max's last visit to the vet for the rabies check. The vet told Master today to be sure to bring the papers with for the checkup tomorrow.
3. The ocean was the most gorgeous turquoise today. And as calm and smooth as glass.
4. i gained a pound this week, and i don't know why. i have stayed well within the limits, but i didn't exercise. i guess that's probably the reason.
5.We are waiting for a phone call tonight. Master is going to Basra tomorrow. The plan is to go up and come back in the same day. We have both heard that story before. He has packed an overnight bag including a clean bath towel.
6. i forgot to stop and get the rent today. i'm not really worried, it's about 4 minutes before it's too late to pay it today. The office closes at 8:00 pm.
7. i let my students have a library day today. While they searched for sources i wrote the quiz for Saturday. i didn't get any papers marked. i may go into the office after i take Max to the vet. No one will be there, so he won't bother anyone.
8. We had the P word for dinner tonight. It was delicious, but the B word would not have been out of place as a beverage.
9. The sheets were dry within 15 minutes of putting them on the line tonight at 6:30.
10. i really wasn't expecting it, but i did hope my son would have let me know that he received the card i sent him at the very least.
11. Why do sons go to the wife's family? Or is it only my son?
12. Why do little boys hit a certain summer, where they would rather kiss a girl than wear shorts? i don't think this was only my son. i saw a group of little boys (under 12) playing soccer in 110+temp wearing jeans. i remember my brother had one summer of that also.
13. i want to go shopping. i know where i want to shop.i don't know what i want to buy. i may call a woman i met with Master last Friday and ask her if she would like to go with.
14. Just out of curiosity, i dialed Ps phone number. There was no answer. i got a warden's message the other day, but didn't send it on to her because i thought she would be gone by now. She didn't answer the phone, so perhaps she is.
15. Master and i met out for lunch the other day. He got there first. He had been in the office, so He was dressed in a shirt and tie and jacket. It was dark in the restaurant, and i had my sunglasses on, but i looked straight at Him and didn't recognize Him. He sure cleans up purdy. i do remember a brief thought flitting through my brain about 'that good looking man sitting alone at the table by the window'. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be Master.
