Jun. 10th, 2004 07:17 pmThe semester is officially over. Summer school starts Saturday.
i'm having another bad day. This time not worrying about Master, but things at home. They don't know that Master is going to Baghdad, they don't need extra worry right now.
i went to the dentist today. i've had a metallic taste in my mouth for just about ever it seems and i thought maybe there was something wrong there. The dentist couldn't find any problem. Got my teeth cleaned and polished, sand blasted is more like it. Not too painful, though, for that i'm thankful. But cost an arm and a leg. i have no idea what it costs in the states, for cleaning and polishing but i think 150$ is a bit pricey. Nice clinic, clean office, the doctor was very nice and easy to talk to, but 150$ gimme a break.
The thing is, i could get it done for free at a government clinic, but the red tape is enough to turn one's hair gray. And the people who work in government clinics are not all that polite or careful. The clinics are not so clean looking, and sometimes the workers are downright mean and rude. i guess i prefer a bit of courtesy and consideration over cost.
Good thing my teeth are good. And i don't have to go to the dentist very often. He said come back next year.
Went for a swim this morning. i'm trying to work out how to get one in every day during the summer. i'm not real excited about swimming at 5 in the morning, on the other hand if i wait until late afternoon, early evening, i have to deal with the 'mommy brigade' and that doesn't interest me at all. If i go before 4 the difference between the air temp and the water temp is so great, that it's like jumping into a tub of ice. And the sun is too strong yet. i don't mind a bit of brown, but i'm not looking for lobster red skin. i should have scheduled the class for 10-12. Damn.
It's a good thing i did swim too, otherwise my mood would be even deeper in the toilet.
