Silence! i say!
Apr. 13th, 2004 10:15 pmThe Ministry of Transportation is getting ready to work on the road in front of our building. i don't know what is actually going to be done, but today, all day, from 8:00 until 4:30 there were three men out front with a jack hammer. All day long with the exception of 30 minutes at noon, there was the constant noise of one jackhammer breaking up the pavement on the road. How annoying. How aggravating. How distracting. How disturbing. By 9:30 i was going crazy. There was no rhythm. There was no cadence. It never became something i could just ignore because it was never the same. The only good thing was that the apartment isn't on the first floor. i would have gone insane.
In order to avoid the noise Max and i took a long slow bike ride this morning. Not long and slow enough, we were only gone an hour.
Master thinks He will have the 'vette running before He leaves Texas. Today He was going to pull the engine and take it to the make the 'vette engine all better shop. i hope He got help. He will be back in a week. i sure don't want any of His parts broken or sore or not in good working condition.
i booked my ticket for summer. REF# 54QWZJTicket must be paid for by july 28 at 7:00 pm. Because i am flying business, i have a seat assigned already. i must remember to check with Hanan when i go to pay for it to see if i can't just go straight to the gate when i get to Chicago on the way back. Every time i have flown out of Chicago to Kuwait there has been at least a 45 minute stand in line. Kuwaitis consider traveling light only one suitcase per day they are gone. And they piss and moan and get totally bent out of shape when they are expected to pay for the excess weight. i hate standing in line.
Buddy is sick. Auntie Nurse and Mother took him to the vet yesterday after they got back from the eye doc. Auntie Nurse had her eyes chemically peeled. i'm hoping that doesn't mean what i first thought. Sarah is on a mission to get more info for me. Maybe she just had some minor plastic done. i hope it is the skin and not the eye itself. Unless of course this is something new to correct vision.
