Emerson's registration is renewed. Farajjh came to the office this morning, picked up my keys, my civil id, and 10 dinars and took it to Subhan for the inspection. He was back before noon. He walked into the office with this sad look on his face and i felt my heart drop to my feet. i was for sure he was going to tell me it didn't pass inspection and it needs the 1000$ carburator to make it pass. But then he smiled and gave me the thumbs up.
He sat down and we talked for a bit. He returned my civil id, and my keys. He gave me the new registration slip, and returned 9 dinars 750 fils of the 10 dinars i gave him. It cost 250 fils to process the registration. i then gave him 10 dinars for his time. It is well worth it to me. i expected him to get up and leave, but he didn't. He said thank you and explained that he was going to be needing all the extra money he could find. He pulled a thick envelope out of his shirt and gave it to me.
It was from a lawyer in the U.S. At first i was confused. i couldn't imagine why he would be getting correspondence from a lawyer in the states. He took back the envelope and pulled out the papers that were in it.
He was wearing a huge grin on his face as he opened the letter for me to read. He has been granted a patent. The lawyer is a patent attourney. The patent is for some kind of automobile thing, and it has been approved for both the U.S. and China. Now he needs to get some big bucks together to pay for it. The lawyer has told him to go ahead and do it, no matter what the cost. The lawyer has started discussions with Benz and some other German automobile maker to purchase the rights to the patent or something like that. Farajjh may well become a wealthy man. And he counts me as his friend. i could do with a wealthy friend now and again.
Some days really neat stuff happens.
