Apr. 10th, 2004 08:20 pmi heard a voice in my sleep this morning telling me it was 5:58 in the morning and time to get up. When i opened my eyes and looked at the clock, it was. That spooked me.
Max got a compliment today. When we were out for his run, an arab man sitting in his parked car with the window open yelled to me as i went past, "nice dog." i answered with a thank you and he smiled a big smile. i think he was pleased that i answered.
Master asked me today if there was any trouble here given the mounting tensions in Iraq. i think Max's compliment is a sign that i am still safe in this country.
Sarah turned down an asissted living apartment the other day. She had been on a list for one for nearly a year and was called to let her know that one is empty and her name is at the top of the list. She turned it down. She told Mother about the call and explained to her that she will stay will Mother until she is no longer needed. Mother got upset thinking Sarah knew something she didn't know. That maybe Mother's health was in bigger jeopardy than she had thought. It took some explaining, but Sarah convinced Mother that was not the case. Sarah knows Mother needs help, she couldn't live on her own without it, and Sarah is willing to be that help. She is a good woman, my daughter. i love her to pieces.
Corn chowder is good the second day too.
