Feb. 9th, 2004

It was a gorgeous day today. The sky and ocean were blue, there were a few picturesque clouds in the sky, there was a cool breeze, but with a jacket the weather was fine. i hung laundry out on the line. i love that. i prepared dinner. i am really going to miss having this time to be Holly Homemaker when classes start again next week. i went out to pay the phone bill, and almost had to mud wrestle the woman to get her to take my money. She kept telling me the bill wasn't due. i kept explaining to her that when i paid last year, i was told the bill would be due again in February of 2004. She looked more closely and said that yes it was due this month, but not until February 17. Apparently it doesn't dawn on them to pay before service gets shut off. I guess it's to make sense to pay before the bill is due, what if you die or something, and can no longer use the phone? All that money, $100 for a year, would be wasted. Or your family would suffer mightily from trying to get the unused portion of the bill refunded.

There was a low tide this morning. So low that the boat that has been sitting out in our little cove for the past three years was grounded. i imagine if it isn't moved soon, it will become mired in the sand and mud, and be an eyesore forever.

Master remembered the day. i told Him that is all i wanted. i didn't expect to be taken out or given any special thing, i just wanted Him to remember it. He did.

A worker came up tonight, right at dinner time, to paint the ceiling in the front room where it had discolored because of the leak. He will be back tomorrow night to finish the job. The apartment reeks of paint fumes and the fumes are giving me a headache. We had the windows open but had to close them in the computer room because Master was getting cool. i suppose we will have to leave the bedroom window open or neither of us will be able to sleep tonight.

My clock is in the mail. Master expects it will be here this week. i can hardly wait.
