Max has learned a new trick. The sand in Kuwait is very fine and when it rains, the water sits on top. The sand is so compacted the water can't seep away. It has been raining for nearly 100 years it seems and there are lots of small lakes on the desert. Today, when we took Max out for his run, because there were so many ATVs around, he stayed close to the car. Master had to drive through some of the lakes, and Max learned how to run in the curl. How neat. He's not perfect at it yet, when we got home, i had to give him a bath, but, he sure looked neat doing it.

It seems the total lack of response from my colleagues Wednesday was not because they were pleased with the sudden change of events. It was because they were too shocked and then angry. Not angry that i am no longer their boss, but angry at the way the upper adminstration handled it. i can't say that aspect of the whole thing thrilled me, either. But it is done, and there is nothing that is going to change the way it was handled. No one is going to apologize to me. This is Kuwait, get real. i mean really. i have spoken with all but one of the teachers now. They have all called to talk to me about the turn of events. They were calling to offer condolences, but i think that's funny. Why would i be sad to leave the life of someone who has to listen to whiners? The fact that they all, but one, called does make me feel good.

i love my sister. She and my BIL have given Sarah her Christmas present. A membership to a women's fitness center.
This is what Sarah needs, to be out and socialize. And it doesn't hurt that she is going to get some exercise thrown in. How did i get such a good family?
