Yesterday was a wonderful Sunday. We didn't do anything useful or important until after 3:00. Then we went down to watch a movie with the cats. Sadie waited and waited for the right time so she and i could play mirror light on the wall, but it just wasn't sunny enough. i tried, and she waited, but no sun. She was so disappointed.
i have become lazy. i need a manicure and pedicure and there is a place nearby where i can go to have it done. The shop is less expensive than the one i use in Kuwait, too. So why don't i go and have it done? Because there are not all the frills and fru-fru. i don't get a nice massage at this shope. i like being pampered. i have to go and i will. It just seems such an effort.
i have to call the Y today. i need some vigerous exercise. i'm about ready to jump out of my skin. If i remember correctly from last year, the lap swim times were early morning hours. i think there was one later in the day too, but during the summer i think that had lots of kids. i don't think school has started yet. i don't know why i have waited so long. i guess i really needed the time to just chill, but now i'm feeling frozen, all stiff and achy, and i don't like it one bit.
Master said there was a fire at the Kuwait airport yesterday. i looked at CNN and in the paper, but didn't find any info about it. He said the authorities thought it was caused by an electrical short and the whole airport was shut down for 3 hrs. He said 6 gates were closed but the airport authorities hope to have 3 of them opened again in a week. i hate the thought of any more hassle when i get off the plane. The flight is long and uncomfortable as it is. By the time the plane lands the last thing i want is a long line or huge crowd because the airport isn't up to full capacity. i don't really hate flying, i just hate the time it takes and the mess when i arrive at the destination. Next year i promise i'm cutting the trip in half. Three days in London or Amsterdam will just about do it.
