jdmkleini am feeling a wee bit lighter of heart now. Life will get good again when He gets back.
Life is so odd.
Max got startled today on his run. He was trotting along, with his running plastic, minding his own business. We were about 3/4s of the way done with the run. Went passed some concrete trucks that were lined up to pour a basement. One of the workers walked out in front of the truck just as Max was passing. The noise from the trucks made him nervous and when the man appeared, Max went after him. Nipped him in the calf, but didn't break the skin. i stopped and talked with the worker. i explained that all of Max's shots are current. i apologized sincerely. i don't think we shall be going there for runs again soon. It is getting too hot for the desert. i don't know where we will go tomorrow. i suppose i can put his lead on, and have him run beside the car. i don't like having him run on the street side of the car, i feel safer if he is on the curb side. Oh well, i will try to find a new running place.
This just reinforces my determination to get Max trained and better socialized. i have given up on the trainer who has already taken my money. When Master returns, we are going to have to have a serious discussion on this topic. Of course right now he would make a good guard dog at an Iraqi warehouse in the Green Zone.
