Well i knew it had to happen eventually

jdmkleini had to go back to work. i really could learn to live in a world where i didn't have to work, but since i want to be with Master, that isn't going to happen.
It wasn't so bad. No classes today, just prep time. We finally got our new computers. We all have flat screen monitors. Way cool. Nice sleek looking black machines. HPs. Not my first choice, but i don't have to maintain it. Of course the transition was done with the usual Kuwaiti aplomb. Just come in and take everyone's computer out and put the new one in. No time to take anything off the hard drive. And now all files are locked and passworded and only the IT guy knows the password. He is going to be one busy man, answering phone calls from people who want to retrieve items from their old computers.
D went to Iraq over the holiday. i am so jealous. He went as photographer for a humanitarian aid run. i am going to have to hang on hard to his coat tails. He does all kinds of things i'd love to do, but don't have the know how or know who to get involved. He is much more gregarious than i and can make friends easily, so all this stuff is a piece of cake to him. i envy him that, i think.
Thank you for the lovely card for Valentine's Day. You know who you are.
We ordered in for our romantic meal tonight. Thai food. i did use real china and new place mats and napkins. Then we ran out without even doing the dishes to pick up some coffee for work tomorrow, some plastic file books, and my slacks i had to have altered. They fit nice and i am going to wear one pair of them tomorrow.
Some not pleasant things. Jamal is working really hard at not teaching now that he is Director. He tried to bully (well not really) me into giving up my class so Kathleen would teach a course he wasn't expecting. She is the only one left who has taught it. Well, i taught most of it while she was in the states recuperating from surgery (for which i didn't get one single fil or a thank you, i might add). She won't teach it and the other course. i won't give up my course. Jamal uses the excuse he hasn't taught the course before. My good god, there are only going to be two students. Oh, well, it's not my worry.
