Dribs and drabs

jdmkleinEileen and Den got home about 5:30 this morning. Eileen said there were a lot of accidents and traffic snarls. She saw so many blue and red and white flashing lights. I think she might have come down with PTSD.
Elizabeth called me the other day. I don't remember the last time we talked. She was on her way to work, driving Ruby Pearl (over 260,000mukes). Max will have to change congregations next year and they are thinking of trying to get an international church, perhaps over in Austria. She could teach English as a second language while they were there.
Pat goes back on days beginning Monday. He's been on third shift for about four months or more. I am sure that will make Megan happy, they will be able to spend more time together. And I know Patrick is feeling good about it, too. No more trying to sleep with the dogs barking at every truck and bug that goes past the front window. Maybe he will be less of a cranky only man once he gets back into a normal sleep pattern. That will make me happy. There are times I have been afraid to call him because of that. I do realize he has lots of pressure what with trying to get the house fixed up to sell and all. I hope they don't fix it up so well that they price themselvess out of the market. On top of the planned expenditures, they had their AC and furnace go out. This month is definitely NOT the month to be without AC..
I went out to see Sarah yesterday. I took her out to get a Concrete Mixer at Culver's and then we found a shady place to park and talked to each other as we ate them. I was going to go into bhe building so I could see how her blanket was coming along and maybe play a game or two of rummy. But I had just come from Physical Therapy at Body Basics and I was hurting. I am still sore today in places she didn't work on. I don't know what that's about.
I've been considering going to an assisted living place. I just must find one that will take me. I think I am not a good candidate for surgery on either my knee or my hip. Although I have lost nearly 30 lbs. since June.
