Coronavirus
Mar. 29th, 2020 11:58 amI love my daughter very much. I am truly happy she is able to spend this time with me.
Today's count for Iowa is 336 confirmed cases up from 298 yesterday.
I am truly anxious about what is going to happen next. Pat is listed as an essential worker. He will be 45 on Friday. I want him to live to see 46. I am frightened for him
Sarah has been with me since 3/16 because of her health. I love having her here, however she doesn't help my anxiety levels. If she were to contract covid-19 she would surely die.
I am over 70 and in the same place as Sarah.
So to placate my anxiety, Sarah and I risked outer lives yesterday by 1) taking Molly to the vet for a checkup and shots, and 2) adopted a cat. And I'm ok/not ok with that.
Maizee has been in hiding since the first nanosecond she arrived at her new home. Molly has been showing her Type A personality by stalking Ms. Maizee, growling at her (sight unseen), hissing at places we think, Molly knows, she is hiding.
Maizee is a surrendered cat from the Cedar Bend Humane Society. She is a tortie, anywhere from 5-8 yrs old. My best guess is going to be 6, so Molly can have an older sister. I plan to take a photo and put it here if I ever see her again.
