i am beginning to have very strong negative feelings for netscape's news banners. My heart fell into my boots when i saw the headline U.S. troops move into Norther Iraq. And that is where they leave it. With shaking hand and tears in my eyes i asked Master if that means the bush has declared war. i am still upset thinking about the yellow journalistic way netscape works. The troops are there to help out the Kurds in the independent section of Iraq. Why couldn't that also be in the headline? News channels and the internet are just preying on our fears. War Mongers. Fear Mongers. Fuck them.

We saw helocopters from one of the ships on the gulf. It was an H53. We saw 25 British tanks. And APCs. The British tanks weren't supposed to come in until mid February. What does that mean? There is a map on the internet that shows the countries in the area and how they are/will be involved in the war. 35,000 American troops in Kuwait. What is the world coming to?

On the local news front, the Kuwait Security for the Homeland has announced the ration cards are ready for ex-pat families. To be used in the cooperatives if there is need. Of course, 'singles' (read unmarried ex-pat women) and bachelors are not included in the program. Of course if it gets to the point where things are rationed, i'll be long gone. And so would Master.
