For a country as small as Kuwait, it's amazing how much time one can spend in the car going from one place to another. Even more amazing is how difficult it is to get simple things done in one trip. i think we spent at least 6 hours driving today, just to get parts for Master's car so it could be fixed. The repair should take about one hour start to finish. In Kuwait it can take three days. Life is such an adventure.

In our travels today we saw 9 different convoys. One, at least 18 semis, loaded with explosives. Another, about 10 trucks and humvees, had the Fire Marshall of Kuwait as one of the lead trucks. Several convoys had buses for the troops. There were red cross trucks, and radio trucks, and some with tanks. It is almost as bizarre as it is frightening. i joke with Mother about it. She doesn't need anymore stress. i am becoming frightened. The reality of it is closing in.

Daughter hasn't heard from the specialist yet. She seems to be much more at ease with this than i am. She said if he doesn't call by next Tuesday, she will call the clinic. i would like her to call today, and let me know tomorrow.

Mother's oldest sister had a stroke yesterday. Aunt's only child does not get along with her. He is in Germany and hasn't seen his mother for at least five years. The wife has a problem with Aunt. Aunt isn't as upper class as she would like. Aunt did what she had to do to get her son where he is today. She's such a snob.
