jdmkleinWell i learned a new thing today. The dog likes applesauce cake. Stupid mutt. i keep forgetting that he can just put his nose on the counter, and when he gets up on his hind legs he can get anything on the counter. He wanted the cake. i remembered to put the cookies away, but forgot about the darned cake.
Master was busy all day painting furniture. The more He painted, the windier it got. By the time He was finished, there were gail force winds out. Not really but doors were slamming shut and the dog hair was mysterioulsy trying to make another dog. To help finish off the cake no doubt.
i got the itch from Tobie and did a bit of sewing. i made a christmas gift, a flannel kaftan. i have to sew down the facing and it is done. i have flannel enough for another. i think i'll make one for me, but i'm thinking about lining it so it will be warmer. Maybe find some t-shirt cotton and line it with that, or find another piece of flannel and make it reversible. Tonight it's very cool...i wish i had it done now. My feet are freezing.
Tomorrow is sheera day. i don't want to wear a dress, but pants are so hard to deal with. If i wear a dress i have to wear stockings. Stockings are a pain on sheera day too. Oh well, i'll wait until tomorrow and see what it's like...then decide. Master says we can ride to work together tomorrow.
The dhow parade went by again today. Ten boats this time. i wonder why we never saw them in the other apartment? It is so amazing to see boats that have been in use for thousands of years out on the water. i wonder if i could get a job in the summer on one of them? Master says no, i don't speak arabic. BAH!
The iron is calling me.
