Nov. 6th, 2002 06:35 pmIt's the beginning of Ramadan. NOBODY was in the desert tonight but us. And that is fine by me. Max learned a new game. It's called chase the tissue in the wind. Master got out and did some batting practice with him while we waited for the sun to go down so we could have something to drink. Max, lucky dog that he is, is a dog and therefore does not have to abide by the rules of Ramadan as it they are practiced in Kuwait. Lucky dog.
Today must be National Car Wreck Land on the Passenger Side After Sliding Down the Roadway Day. I saw two of them. One, i don't know how it happened, but i just missed it. The police were still there and the lights were still blinking on the car. i didn't see any other vehicle around so i have no idea what possessed the driver to do what he did. Of course it could be a she.
The second one, i figure tail ended a end loader at high speed, bounced back after hitting it, and was rolled on its side by the force of the hit. Again, we just missed that one, the police were still at the scene. And the truck, like a chevy luv, was still on its side in the middle of the King Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Ramin Keeper of the Five Holy Mosques Expressway.
What do you call a person for whom you do a nice thing, a very good nice thing in fact, who turns around and not more than 15 minutes later comes into your office and tells you that you are causing the immediate problem in the unit? i'm not sure friend is the appropriate term.
i am torn. It is time for Master to sign His new contract and there are some changes in the contract that are not in His best interests. He says He will sign it, and i know i am the reason. He (and i) is very sure He will be able to find another job in this country while He is still working at the old one, but i feel bad that He is willing to take the bad from the old job because of me.
i wonder what blind from birth people see when they dream.
i felt odd having Imtiyaz bring my coffee today. He is muslim and observes Ramadan. i told him he didn't have to do it, but he said no problem. No matter, i still felt odd.
