jdmkleini have the distinct impression that this semester is going to be the mother of all semesters from hell. It isn't going to get any worse, it can't without having military action in the streets, but hey, that's not even outside the realm of possibility according to the papers. It also isn't going to get any better. There is going to be this same level of intensity all semester long. i am either going to have to shut my office door and become known as unavailable, or i am going to have to get used to having the teachers come venting and ranting and asking rhetorical questions. Being yelled to, not at, i know they aren't angry at me, because they are frustrated by things of which we have no control. i made the mistake in the beginning of being available for them. Now they are used to it and don't see that there might be times when i need to vent also. And they won't let me because they are too busy doing it themselves.
And then when i get in the car to come home i'm in a pissy mood for Master. He understands, but i feel awful because of it. i don't want to bend His ear with my problems, He has stress enough of his own. This semester is going to suck. Suck, suck, suck. And that is all there is to it.
Tomorrow we take Max for the big snip snip. We took him out for a desert run at sun down. We wanted to get him good and tired so he will sleep in tomorrow morning. He can't have any more food, he's on fast and abstenince for 12 hrs before the procedure. We take him in at 8 and bring him back after 4. Snip Snip and he's all taken care of.
He loves to run on the sand. i wonder if dogs get the equivalent of shin splits from running on pavement? He loves the morning runs. And i like to be out on my bike again. i don't get much distance, but i do get a nice slow workout. Of course he goes about twice the distance with his weave. But he is so good. The regulars out in the morning don't even act nervous about being around him because they know he won't go up to them. He did scare a family of cats though this morning. And he did about a 30" vert.
i wish this weekend would last 42 days. We are going to the theater tomorrow night.
