i had to go to the hospital this morning. There was some problem with one of Mother's medications. She had taken the bottle of eye drops to the hospital with her, and i had heard her tell the nurse she had to take it home when she left. The drops would be used after the procedure. They never got home. i'm sure it was an oversight, no one intended to lose her meds. It was more the principle of the thing than anything else. But, the 3 ml bottle of drops cost 58$. She put 9 drops in her eyes from that bottle. Those are pretty expensive drops.

i explained this to the director of patient services in a polite way. i didn't have to bully or threaten or call anyone a name. That is not my style. i will never understand the joy some people seem to get by being rude, sarcastic, and calling names. If this woman had not been able to satisfy my request i simply would have gone to her supervisor and so on until i had gotten the satisfaction i wanted. i don't believe it is necessary to make an ass of one's self to get what one wants.

Sister and spouse stopped by after they played golf. We went out for an ice cream. Actually a frozen custard. i'm going to miss that. It is very good. i'm also going to miss TCBY. i love that frozen yogurt can make my tonsils freeze. Weird, i know, but what can i say?

Castaway is on television tonight. i just remembered. i missed the first few minutes of it already so i guess i'm done for tonig
