i had to call Master today while i was on the road. i mean i just had to. i mean....I JUST HAD TO!
Never in a million years would He guess what i had just done, so i told Him.
On my way to the office to meet a couple three students about their questionnaires. i'm coming across Gazhali Bridge and in front of me is a blue benz with a decal on the back end of the car...Kuwait K-9 Centre. So, i'm thinking to myself, hmmm, maybe there is another kennel in this country. Maybe this other kennel has a trainer. The car is headed in the direction i am going so i decide to see where it stops. i was srt of hoping the passenger was a student on our campus. But i was determined to get out of my car and talk to the driver where ever he stopped. He didn't turn on to campus, so neither did i. i followed him about 5 km, i was getting a bit nervous, thinking he might have noticed i was following him and become upset, but in the end, he hadn't even been aware of me.
He finally stopped in the parking lot of one of the hospitals. So i pulled up behind his car and got out and lo and behold, it was the guy who had taken my 80 dinars and then moved shop. It was not a move to avoid creditors, or anything like that, but i never could connect with him. He told me where the new kennel is, and said that after ramandan, i should give him a call, and we can see about getting the training going again. i believe he had problems finding a new place for the kennel. i hadn't tried to call him for several months. In fact, i had written off the money to a lost cause. But now it appears that is not to be the case. Master and i will try to find the new kennel, it's about a 40 minute drive from here, this weekend. Then after Saturday we can see about the training. Since it's such a far drive, i'm thinking we will do the boarding thing. It won't feel nearly as painful to pay for it, since i have already given him nearly half of the boarding/training fee. Some times good things do happen.
i'm re-thinking my vacation options. i got an email from a former colleague in Taiwan. She said every time the group gets together they ask about me. Maybe i will grace them with my presence in January, or Februaray, i still don't remember for certain when the semester break begins. It's only a 5 hour flight from Hong Kong, and Hong Kong is only 40 minutes from Taiwan. Yea, maybe i'll do that.
