jdmkleinMaster just called from Um Qasr. One day i will decide on how i want to spell that place.
He will be there at least until next week.
The Brits, who are running the warehouse He is taking over, issued out the berthing units for Master and His workers. Tonight they are sleeping with the Brits. The Brits are also feeding them. The guy in charge of issuing things assured Master the caravans would be in place in two days. i have a bit of trouble believing that, in two days it will be Friday, the muslim equivalent of Sunday. Ain't nobody do no thing on Muslim Sunday. They will be lucky if they have the caravans by Saturday.
He has to come back to Kuwait soon, to exchange vehicles, but that date hasn't been set yet. i hope He comes back after the caravans are in place so He knows what He needs. Right now He doesn't even have sheets or blankets for the cot He will be sleeping on tonight. He sounded in pretty good spirits on the phone, but this is only the first day. i imagine He will sleep like a rock tonight. He's been up and going since 4:45.
i'm sure He is excited about finally being back at work. i only hope He can arrange weekends back on a regular basis. i'm missing His sweet patoot already.
As hard as i tried not to, i got teary at the door this morning. But now that it is finally here, i am ok with it. i am going to worry about His safety all the time, that is a given, but i am going to deal with being without Him as best i can. The good thing is, i have His bed to myself. The bad thing is, i have His bed to myself. Max and i will get along fine. And i called G and told him Master is gone. G said he'd make sure his jeep was in good working condition. Every time Master has been gone and i've had to call G for help with my car, his jeep ends up in the shop. It's getting to where i can't afford two car repair bills.
i am enjoying my tutorial, i could become independently wealthy with this. The student has a midterm on Saturday, so i'm going to have an extra session on Friday with her, and then another on Saturday. Max's kennel bill and obedience training are nearly paid for already.
