Feb. 1st, 2005

Late yesterday afternoon i got an unexpected phone call. "What's for dinner?"
Master had jumped the border and was on His way home. My day brightened considerably. He has to go back up tomorrow morning, but today we get to be together. Not a leisurely weekend kind of thing, i'm going to be riding along as He runs work errands. 's ok with me. And He will be back again on Saturday for a real weekend, with a bottle of italian wine.

There is more, but He is getting dressed to go out. The first errand is Starbuck's for coffee to go, the second is to the doughnut world, for breakie to go.

We left at 8 this morning, and didn't get back until after 7 this evening. Coffee at starbuck's, apple fritter from hole in one, then on to the service dept to get the truck serviced. Then to the office supply store. i love those places. i never know how much office stuff i really need until i get to a place like that. i got some book mark post-its, and some see-thru write on post-its. i bought a box of rubber bands, and bulldog clips. i bought what i thought were white board markers, only to find out they aren't. Drat. i got some pretty pretty paper for letters, with matching envelopes. i may have to go back and get some colored copy paper just to have it. There were so many things, colored paper clips, neato erasers, tiny staplers, and unusual looking staple pullers. My goodness. But i maintained. Spent less than 6$.

After the office supply store we went to a warehouse market. Master had to stock up on supplies for His warehouses. Then to my favorite place in all of Kuwait, the scrap yard. Master bought two rims to use as spares, so now there are 4 spares for the trucks. Also got me a new mirror for emerson. i met two men, one from Pakistan and one from Afghanistan. Nice men, interesting to talk to.

From the scrap yard to the hardware store. More supplies for the warehouse. He said 15 minutes. Took Him 35. i didn't mind, it was a nice enough day. i sat in the truck and watched the world go by. From the hardware store to the tire store, new tires on the new wheels. Home to get doggio for his run, then out to dinner. Home in time to talk with Sarah.

She had a nurse from social services visit yesterday. She will be coming every week to check on her. Today an occupational therapist is coming by. i guess the seizure had some good points. We have been trying to get these things all in place, but she was always put on a waiting list a mile long. Now, they are jumping right on it.

We are winding up a storm. Sounds like a blizzard outside, the wind is howling through the balcony door. The air is dirty, but not stand storm dirty yet. i do feel grungie from being out in it all day. i am beat.
