Oct. 21st, 2004 07:28 pmIt's a good thing i didn't take a taxi to the campus today and wait for Master to pick me up on His way down south. He thought He would be heading out of the warehouse about 1:30. He called about 3:00 and said He was just leaving. i would have been climbing the walls.
Instead of going in today, i'll spend time on Sunday catching up with work.
Today i did laundry, got everything washed and dried and folded and put away except the rags. They are in the dryer now. And while the laundery was going i finished the last of a pair of stockings from hell. Very fine, slippery yarn. i've started this pair a gazillion umpteen times. Today it went like clock work.
We took Maxiepie out to the desert tonight for his run. Then we stopped and got a sandwich and let him pooch around while we ate. He does love his desert.
Master brought me cookies from Bucca. Six of them, and He said they were all for me. It's been so long since i've had anything sweet like a cookie, that the two i ate have made me feel a bit sick to my stomach. i suppose that is a good sign. Or not.
There is a new batch of kittens in the neighborhood. i saw them yesterdady. Mother cat had them out for their first visit to the big world. They are at that absolutely adorable age; jummping and pouncing on anything that moves. i was so tempted to try to get Max a playmate, but i've learned that by the time momma cat brings the babies out into the world, they are already too wild. But they sure are fun to watch.
There were clouds in the sky today. And tonight the wind is coming directly off the water. Two sure signs that the seasons are changing. The desert was glorious tonight; the temp was perfect and we were on and off before the ramadan night time revelers got out there.
In spite of all my angst, i do believe i am well content. Of course it could just be the cookies. Or havingMaster home, or both.
