Sep. 27th, 2004 08:10 pmMaster has promised to get the dsl line connected again this week. i am so tired of having little men inside my computer using chisels on stone tablets carving out the information i need on the internet. Add to that the fact that at school there was some kind of 'fire' in the networking, and we have been without access to printers as well as the internet since last week, and it looks as if the office network will be down for at least two weeks while the admin. decides whether we really need it or not, because the card that burned is 400kd....or at least that's the current rumor du jour. i don't think that sentence made any sense.
Master should be home tomorrow night, and if all goes well Wednesday night too. He has to go up north (euphemism for Iraq) on Wednesday and Thursday, but there is business here He has to take care of too. Lots of kliks on the odometer this week. i was wondering when the company would begin to allow conjugal visits so He wouldn't have to drive so much. i could stay over and go to work from there. For me it wouldn't me much difference from driving from here to the office. We may have to consider moving house in the future if He has to stay there any length of time.
The faculty is holding student gov't elections. i'm proud to say there are females running for positions in the student gov't.
For school today i dressed warm because Saturday i froze in the classroom. Of course, today the a/c wasn't working in the rooms. And i had those kids' brains cranking out the btu's. By half way through the class i was drenched. And i couldn't take my jacket off because i was wearing a sleevelss dress. Go figure. i don't know how to dress for Wednesday. Think i'll be doing smarter layers.
Sarah and Lani had a girls' night out last night. i hope they had fun. i got a message from her just before our usual talk time telling me she was out late last night and wouldn't be online. Guess she was up long enough to get Mother taken care of and then went back to bed. Mother has vertigo.
Of this i solemnly swear: October 1 i am going to start riding in the mornings. On my honor as a living breathing human bean.
