Sep. 24th, 2004 07:40 pmWe went on a desert picnic this afternoon. Max got to run with the wind, and we got to enjoy a desert sunset. On the way home we stopped for an ice cream cone at McDonald's. The guy working the driveup window remembered Max's standard order, and even remembered his name. What a dog!
We did the same thing today we did just about a year ago today. We got the patio ready for the season. This year's was a bit more of a dirty job than last year's though. We are pulling up the astro turf. During a strong wind storm last sping the plastic table got upturned and the sharp edge of one of the corners put a three-corner tear in the turf. Winds during the rest of the summer caused the size of the tear to increase until it was just not possible to mend it. It was a relative easy job to do, but very dirty. We discovered that astro truf is great for collecting dirt. We have about 2/3 of the patio done. i think in can get the rest of it done during the week, if the weather stays good. With the exception of moving the bar and all the stuff stored behind it. Maybe i can even get that done, who knows?
Master is getting His clothes ready for next week. i hate this. We were talking about how maybe he can get the men to start working at 6 in the morning since they are all on base and even if they walk to work the trip wouldn't take more than 10 minutes. That way they can get their 8 hours in and He can get back here with some semblence of Thursday left. As it is, the weekend is way too short to get more than one thing accomplished.
i'm down two pounds this week. i didn't work very hard on it this week, either. It's probably fluid, but at let's hope it's the incentive i need to get back into the swim, both literally and figuratively.i finally figured out the clié's problem. Now i am waiting for the sun to shine so i can take a picture of my beautiful red pretty.
i must be tired tonight. i don't have anything more to say.
