May. 7th, 2004 08:43 pmSarah's papers for camp have not come yet. Dayum, the wind could get them to her faster than the postal service i think. How hard can it be to get an envelope from point A due west less than 70 miles to point B? If i am frustrated, just think how it must be for her.
Dog did not stray far from us on the walk tonight. He only ran a short distance from off the road to where we parked and walked. We got our time in, and distance i think, i'm pretty sure dogomylettie did 3 times the distance we did, in the same time. He did a lot of scoutin', scoutin', scoutin'. (You had to have been there to see the humor).
Only laundry left are the linen and the towels. And it's nearly all folded and put away. Brought the plants inside, it's getting too hot for them outside now, even though where they are is always shaded. The wind is getting too hot for them. All the plants except the little tree. It has ants, and i don't want them in the apartment. Master has some powder to put on the soil to make the ants go away. If He can find it. If He remembers to look for it.
Thought we had some excitement this morning, early. i looked out and saw the patrol boat sending out billows of smoke. i thought it was on fire. i got the binocs and could see another navy boat next to it. It was time to wake up Master so i took the binocs in to Him and had Him look, being the old navy man that He is. He thought it was just the engine firing up, and sure enough it must have been, cuz the next time i looked out, the boat was gone. Or it could have sunk.
There must be something going on, all the convoys we saw today were much more heavily guarded today than in the recent past. There were more police at the exits the military uses on a regular basis. In fact, there were more military vehicles out today than we have gotten used to seeing. i have heard that Kuwait has a decent intelligence network. (It is difficult for me to say that with a straight face. Perhaps only the intelligent first class Kuwaitis work for the intelligence agency. Would certainly make the silliness of some of the other ministries more understandable.)
i am trying to keep my spirits up, but if something certain doesn't break soon, i am going to go insane.
