It came today. And i begged Master to stop what we were doing so He could go get it, and then hang it. It is so beautiful. It will be Sarah's some day. This is something she can enjoy.

It was another lovely day today. Master woke up early and then came back to bed and we snuggled for about an hour. No sexual touching, just snuggle. It felt good. We talked about a lot of nothing and then got up and were ready to face the day.

First was to Ikea for breakfast, they have the most deliscious sweet rolls there. i bought some new cloth napkins and place mats and Master got me a heart shaped pillow for Valentine's day.

From there we went to the A-Z store looking for a mandolin. We found two, actually, both made by the same company but one was larger than the other. i nearly gasped out loud when i saw the price, but it is something we will use regularly and Master said get the big one. So i did. He found some new kitchen untinsels from England, and we looked for a rack to hang them on, but had no luck. He said i could get rid of the old ones, that they were in pretty bad shape. Again, i nearly gasped out loud, to have Him actually agree to get rid of something just because it looks bad??? i mean really, that has never, and i do mean never happened in this house before. i must remember to check Him for fever before i sleep tonight. We looked at new every day dishes, too. We had a bit of a disagreement about which pattern we liked best, and then decided to go back to Ikea and get something there that we both liked but i thought was more expensive than it actually is.

From A-Z we went to Ace Hardware looking for a untinsel rack for the kitchen. Since the new utinsels have wooden handles we decided on a square wooden dowel (can dowels be square) with cup hooks. It will fit very nicely under the cupboards. The store also had flannel sheets on sale at 50% off, but none of the packages was marked with the size of the mattress the sheets fit. Add to that, the fact that a couple of military people were in front of us buying 600 of this item and 450 of that item, and 13 mop heads, and on, and on, and on, and on and there were four women standing behind the checkout counter and one floor manager and one worker standing on the other side, and 15 people standing in line to check out and one of the women was a trainee and when i asked if they could please open another register, was told there are no other checkers around. Give me a break, it takes 3 women to teach one woman how to run a register? Puh-leeeze.

From the hardware store to home. We worked on the patio, and then the phone rang and Master was told there was a box from Germany for him. i begged, he went, we got it hung. By then it was time for the dog's run. When we got back from the desert, it was dinner time. Trust me, this is going someplace. We talked about the clock, and i told Him i thought it would be Sarah's one day. That she could hear it and touch it to get a feel of the beauty of the wood. i got a bit teary thinking about how unfair it is that she should suffer because of who her parents were. Master consoled me, and when i was better asked me what time it was. i craned my neck to see the clock in the living room. Master said, "Julia, what time is it?" in such a way that i thought i had done something wrong. When i looked at Him He was smiling. Then i realized that instead of trying to see the clock in the front room, all i had to do was look on the wall behind Him. DuH! Tears came again, but this time i was laffing so hard i thought i would fall off the chair. Some days i wonder where i left my brain.
