Dec. 19th, 2003 08:16 pmThis afternoon i got a phone call from the First Sergeant He said he'd found Jamie. Right under their noses. And as soon as Jamie was around 1st. Sgt. was going to have him call me, which he did. The upshot of all this is, Sunday we are going to have company for a few hours. A young man, i remember as a small boy running around in his underwear in the summer, but i will never tell him those kinds of things that i remember. He said he was sorry that he didn't have any pictures of his family to show me. That nearly broke my heart. i am trying to do something nice for him and he is worried about me.
When i talked to Sarah tonight, i asked her to call his Mom and Dad and tell them he will be spending time with us. i'm going to get a phone card so he can call them if he wants. i will pick him up about 1:00 Sunday afternoon. Master gets off work at 2 and i think we can have him until 6 or so. We will do whatever he wants. If he wants to go out for dinner, we will, if he wants to eat at home, we will. The toss up will be who does the cooking, Master or me. If he just wants to sit and yak we will. If he feels the need for a nice clean soft bed, he's got it. There will be clean towels, hot water, whatever he wants. i'm so excited i can't sit still. i'm a bit sad that he won't be here for Christmas, but this will be like two Christmas' in one. i'm one lucky person this week.
We were kind of hoping for a holiday Satruday. A thank heaven Saddam is caught day, but i think it is just a rumor. i haven't seen anything in the paper or heard anything on tv about it. i believe some students were just exercising their wishful thinking skills.
Yesterday we went to Max's school and met the trainer. Max will spend Dec. 24 and 25 at the kennel. Too many people will upset him and then me. It will also be an introduction to kennel life for Max. When we go to Germany he will go to the kennel again, and for the first two weeks he will live there. The third week Master and i will also be going to school. Learning how to train Max. We don't seem to be doing such a great job of it and he is too big not to be trained. He is also too good a dog to be bad. It is expensive, and at first Master wasn't thinking about being interested, i would have done it anyway, if anything happens to Master, i have Max and as he is now, i have trouble controlling him. i'm afraid he will pull me over or hurt me accidentally. So school it is for Max.
