The winter vacation
Oct. 7th, 2003 07:31 pmCosta Del Sol is out for Thanksgiving, so now we are waiting for the travel agent to get back to us on tickets to Germany.
The new plan is that i will meet Master in Germany on January 28. He wants to go back and be with his daughter the first of the year because that's when the baby is due. He wants to leave about January 7 or so and spend 2 weeks with her.
He has trouble getting leave granted for that time of the year, but He is hoping it will work. If it doesn't, we will both go to Germany together, and He will ask right away in January for Christmas 2004 to be on leave so He can spend it with His granddaughter on her first christmas.
If He goes early, i may just go to Germany by myself for a week or so, and spend time with my cousin. If He can't get out, we plan to spend a weekend with my cousin and his wife at least. Maybe more if they have pork and beer.
Right now He is sending the travel agent an email asking how we go about getting an international driver's lisence for our time in Germany. Depending on the plane schedule and ticket prices, we will either fly into Amsterdam and take the train to Germany and rent a car or, fly straight to Frankfurt and rent a car as soon as we get there.
i have never been to Germany and i'm quite excited about the thought of it.
