Jul. 2nd, 2003 06:29 pmIt is the weekend, and despite that, i feel pretty good. i have some work to do tomorrow at home, and some recording to do over the weekend, but other than that, there is nothing on my plate for a few days. i am feeling more comfortable about the september course. i have it all mapped out on paper. Now i'm just filling in the in class stuff. i always get a bit fearful about that because some teachers do not like to have all the kind of realia and activity that i like to use to help the students understand. If they don't like the way i teach the course they are free to spend the extra time to come up with their own calendar and activities, but i doubt that will happen. They are grousing enough about having to teach 15 hours next semester, i'm sure they won't be willing to put in any extra time on the creative aspect.
Emerson is not home yet. But seems on the alive and well and can be considered among the cars not going to the scrap yard this week. Apparently the Volvo is so old, there is only one man in Kuwait who can work on it with any kind of authority. And as luck would have it, he already has two of Emerson's relatives ahead of him. Maybe they will call tomorrow, but i doubt it. More than likely it will be back on Tuesday.
Even though neither Master nor i have anything pressing for the weekend, i am doubtful that i will get any pain. i gently reminded Him that tomorrow is the anniversary of the day i moved to Kuwait, and therefore to Him, and He mentioned something about going out for dinner. i don't think that will happen either, but i am more hopeful about dinner than pain. Sometimes what i write sounds to me as if i am unhappy with my lot. i honestly don't believe i am, right now i believe my disatifaction and unrest is more due to the frustrations i mentioned yesterday than Him. He seems to be the most best target. Ah well, thank goodness for His patience and even temper.
The wind has gone, but the humidity is back. Not a good combination with high temps. It's almost 6:45 pm and the temp is still 108. The A/C man came last night. He's the person who rescued Max over a year ago. He was pleased to see how big and handsome the dog is, but not too excited about Max's territoriality. The filters were so dirty they completely blocked the airflow in the system. He cleaned them and now the apartment is much cooler. i think i will swim tomorrow if i wake up before 9. It will be nice to spend a day all cool and well oiled.
