Jun. 5th, 2003 06:31 pmi don't know why everything has to be so difficult. Two nights ago i watched television. When i turned it off, everything was working fine. Yesterday i tried to watch television again, it doesn't work. i called the cable company, was given a hint, told to try it, and wait five minutes. If the service didn't come back to call again. Yea, right, by then the office would be closed until evening. Why can't we just have a television that you turn on to watch and turn off when you are done? Why do men have to have every little doodad and gegaw and timthetoolmantaylor add on to everything they own? Now, i'm televisionless for two weeks. BAH! And, i can't make the video player work, either.
i learned this morning that if i want to swim it either has to be early early or late early morning but it can't be at 6:30 because that is when the pool man comes and the complex workers come to clean the pool area. Oh well, i got about 20 minutes in, so it wasn't a total loss.
The man at the gas station is an idiot. He tried to tell me the gas tank was full when i knew it wasn't. There is air in the tank or something which causes the pump to shut off if it is left with the trigger on. The pump nozzel has to be hand held in order for it to continue to run without stopping. He didn't want to hold it. He kept pulling the nozzel a little bit farther a little bit farter a little bit farther out of the place to put the gas until about half the gas i paid for was splashing out on the ground. Then he said it was full. i said no it wasn't. A Sri Lankan stand off. i won. He stopped at 3 dinars, which is approximately what i expected it to take, give or take a few fils. The only reason he started pumping the gas again was because the car behind me started honking. i was not going to leave until i got a full tank of gas. He's lucky i decided to make a gas run before i took the dog to the desert.
i have not had an opportunity to talk with Master in three days. The weather there has been terrible. Either that or He has decided He doesn't want to talk to me anymore. But i doubt that.
