Jan. 29th, 2003 09:34 pmIt says in the Arab Times the U.S. embassy will most certainly let the Philippine Embassy know when anything happens, so that embassy can tell it's citizens what to do. Good for the U.S. embassy. Would sure be nice if the people over there in Bayan felt that same way about their own citizens.
i have a sinking feeling one of the new teachers won't be coming back in Feb. i have no concrete proof, just a gut feeling. He was my hire, and if he doesn't return, i'm going to feel very stupid. And angry. i won't spend my vacation worrying about it, i also won't be surprised when he doesn't show.
The emerson is having mechanical problems. i thought it might be a hole in the muffler, Master checked it out and found it was a loose gasket someplace up front. He tightened it up and said after we have breakfast tomorrow we will go to the Volvo shop and get new gaskets. Maybe we will go to Jahra also, for other parts. The car is old but i love it. i will fight al Qaeda militants at the scrap yard for parts for my car.
i'm watching an Andy Hardy movie. Something about a debutant. i love Andy Hardy movies. The summer Dad died there were the whole Andy Hardy series on the 10:30 movie on the local channel on Tuesdays. Mother let me stay up and watch them. Gee, staying up until midnight, big deal.
i washed flannel sheets today and hung them out to dry. The weather was fine until about 3:30. They dried beautifully and smell so good. Then i put them on the bed. He will be pleasantly surprised tonight i hope.
katie, i've found the British version of Trading Spaces. It's called Changing Rooms. Hildy isn't part of the team. It's just starting, more later. There is a snooty male decorator, Doug i think. Oh, by the way i've found a test, Which Trading Spaces Are You? i'm Doug. Ugh! The Brit's name is Graham. The woman does wear Hildy shoes though. I feel vindicated, oh so vindicated. The sad thing is the show is only 30 minutes. i have it programed for next week. i am so excited.
Now i'm back to Andy Hardy. What a great night. Trading Spaces the British Version and Andy Hardy movies. Life if good.
