just another manic friday
Oct. 5th, 2002 08:06 pmNot much exciting today. We took the bikes and the dog to the ball park. i rode and dog ran twice the distance i rode. It was beautiful out this morning. We sat in the shade while poochie pooched around on the cricket field. He enjoys being out and free and i love to watch him. He is joy personified.
We went to pick up Master's car, He did a test drive and came back immediately. $500 worth of car parts and it was doing the same thing it did before He took it in. The car is still in the shop. Master is planning to change mechanics. These guys were good two years ago. But the quality of their work has declined. i don't know if it's because they got too big too fast or because the son is doing more of the managing. Whatever it is, given the time it takes to get there, and the frustration of having to take it back four times before it is fixed right.
We took the emerson to the volvo parts store and got it a new washer motor for it. Now i can get a clean windshield when the rainy (hah!) season comes. Wednesday i saw clouds in the sky. That may not mean much to some folks, but i haven't seen a cloud over kuwait for over 6 months. This means the weather is changing.
i am suffering tonight. My back was good all day until i lifted the tray to carry from the kitchen to the dining room. It wasn't heavy, but i hurt. Now, i am uncomfortable and don't know what to do about it.
We also went to Hawally to the computer souks. Master was looking for a program and to get more memory for His computer. i snuck out and bought one of Master's birthday presents. i got Him a mouse pad for His ball-less mouse. i want to get Him a year's worth of call waiting and forwarding and caller i.d. for His cell phone too, but i haven't been able to get it together yet. And there was one more thing but now i've forgotten what it is.
