Sep. 14th, 2002 08:54 pmi wish i hadn't gone into the office today. The semester is starting out shitty, and it hasn't even begun yet. and i dn't see it as getting any better. And i don't want to do this job any more. It's not fun anymore, Toto.
i have decided i have to distance myself from P this year. She did nothing but complain today about the way the new semester is going. i don't like it either, but i don't need to hear her take on it as well. i think i'm going to have to shut the office door a whole lot this semester. i can't have her coming in and dragging me down, either by reacting to what she bitches about or by buying into her drudge. i came home this afternoon in a snit. i don't need this shit from her. She couldn't be happy if she were hung with a new rope.
We too k Master's car into the shop today. Last Saturday a big truck tried to take over the lane we were in and crunched up the left rear quarter panel on Master's car. i'm pretty sure the driver of the truck had neither legal residency nor a driver's license. Master believes it was the other guy's fault but the police weren't willing to write up a report on it. No one wants to accept responsibility in this country. In any case, the car is in the shop and will be back on Monday. He is rideing this week so it's ok.
It has to start cooling down soon. The dogs need to go out for a run at least twice a day now. All day in the kennel makes a dog full of energy and pretty rambunctious. Max was in fear for his life this evening. We had to take him out before 8:30 or he wouldn't have seen 8:30. He had a good old romp. i think this was his longest run yet. There is a pack of wild dogs that have been around for a long time, but tonight and last night they had moved into the area we take Max for his run. i'm not sure if the dogs would attack, but Max is most certainly not comfortable knowing they are there. Last night i brought him back into the car and he wasn't the least bit upset about that at all. Tonight one of the dogs barked as we went around. We didn't go back there again, i don't know what the dog would have done. i don't believe the wild dog was threatened by us, and i don't think the bark was threatening either. But i'm glad we didn't tempt the fates.
Tomorrow is another day. Another working day. And i have to be ready for it.
