Apr. 25th, 2002 08:54 pmWe left the house this morning about 9. We didn't get back for good until nearly 7. While i don't see that we got much accomplished, we were busy all day today. i lost another pound and 1/2 this week. Master rewarded me with a new mouse pad with a blue-eyed kitty face on it.
i didn't ride today. And i weighed myself a day early this week because we thought we were going out for a pasta party. Turns out we didn't go, but we ate out for breakfast and dinner. No lunch.
Talked to the daughter tonight for the first time since her move. She's wearing bruises from being unaccustomed to the new surroundings. i hope she doesn't mistake the outside door for the bathroom door first thing in the morning. S.O.s son came and took her to the store. She and S.O are going to make the trek alone today for the first time. i told her not to call me and tell me she'd been lost. She got a kick out of that.
She's met two of the new neighbors. i'm guessing both are older women. One volunteers at the elementary school. Maybe daughter can get into that. The other has lived in the same apartment for 20 years. i hope they can make a few more friends there than in the old place. It's a smaller town, so that should be some help. And there is a church they can walk to on Sundays. Even the right persuasion for the S.O. which is good. They need other people in their lives. Not that they aren't happy together, it's just that they need other people. i'm happy about the move. She says all the boxes are unpacked and nearly everything is put away already. Not bad for less than a week. Also have their new phone, the number of which i wrote in my phone book this time instead of on a piece of paper.
We worked on fisting again this morning. i woke up very needy this morning. i initiated the whole thing. i apologized later, but He said that was ok. He didn't mind a little change in the routine once in awhile.
Must ride tomorrow, must, must, must. will will will. Ack! i just remembered i forgot to do some work today. Well, didn't actually forget, because we weren't home, but, didn't do it. i have three articles to edit for the humanities journal. Will do half this weekend, and the other half next. Unless they are easy, then i'll finish them tomorrow, i hope.
The weather was strange today. Very cool in the morning, really ugly hot between 12 and 2, with sand in the air, and lots of wind. By 3:30 the wind had changed direction, and the temp had dropped, and the air had cleared. Go figger.
