jdmkleinDrat! i had a post and i lost it.
The company doesn't know it yet, but Master is going to say yes. He talked with His colonel, and through some treachery of a former colleague and misunderstanding with the MoD, there is little hope Master's contract will be renewed at this time. The colonel has asked if Master will come back to the KAF when things get straightened out. If the money is good, He will, i'm sure. But it will take far more money than He is being offered right now. It might even work out that this new company could get the contract that will have to be given out. How long will it take the MoD to realize that the 'cheap' labor they have hired is not going to be able to keep their airplanes flying because they have no idea of how the supply system works? My guess is as soon as there are no up air planes, the MoD will figure it out.
Master's b/p is within the range of normal for the first time in months. Maybe even more than months. Funny, making a decision to go to a place where military and police actions are the order of the day lowered His b/p. He has traded a stress that was driving Him crazy for one He can live with for now. My b/p is fine, but my heart hurts from the thought of Him being gone. Selfish of me, i know. And selfish as this is, i'd rather have Him in Iraq than back in the States. When He has comp time from the Baghdad job, He will come to Kuwait. He will have a Kuwait visa and civil id. He will be able to cross the border, theoretically, between Kuwait and Iraq as easily as crossing the Mississippi from Illinois into Iowa.
