jdmkleinThere is some good that came from yesterday's incident. i rode again today and was so nervous about running into either the same children or others with the same thoughts that i had a much harder workout. i pushed myself harder to go faster to get passed where it happened, Then i found i was nearly finished with my route and had another ten minutes to ride. So i did. More distance, harder workout, something good did come from that whole thing. And, no kids. Twice blessed.
Master worked on putting up the windbreak some more today. i helped when needed. The rest of the day was spent in marking Reviews of Literature for first time research papers. For the most part, they were a bit better than i expected, but not by much. And a few were so bad,....i can't describe it. i have 4 left to do, i wanted to finish them this weekend, but i can't look another one in the face.
Given the prospects on Wednesday evening, the weekend turned out quite nice. Both Master and i thought we would have a weekend of rain, but that was not the case.
Out of the blue, again, yesterday Master made a comment about my position in His life. i don't even remember the context of the situation, but i do remember i was walking down the hall ahead of Him. We were talking about something and i must have asked the reason. He said, "Because I own you." We don't talk like that on a daily basis. My first thought was to wonder if i had displeased Him in some way or done something to make Him think i was acting out and He was reminding me of my place. i turned to look at Him and He was smiling. i do believe He liked saying that out loud. And then i felt good.
He finally got His leave papers back, so i guess it is official, we are going to Germany the end of January. If we had known that the first Eid was going to be so long this year, we could have been packing for Costa del Sol right now. We had an invite from my cousin and his wife to spend Thanksgiving with them at a villa there. Unfortunately the timing for the trip didn't work out for the time we thought we had. Now we know that we could have, drat.
Germany will be fine. Better than fine. Master has been there before, but i haven't. He is talking about a day cruise on the Elbe(?)River. i would like to visit the Black Forrest, and of course there is all that beer and those snitxle and spatzle and pretzles and whatever other -tzles we can find to sample, and of course the good sweets. And maybe a side visit to a glass bead shop. And some Rhine wine. Oh, my.
