Sep. 11th, 2003 07:52 amShe blindsided me last night. We were talking about going to see Helen in Minnesota and i said what i have said all the time i have been home, just tell me when we are going. She has got it in her head she wants my sister and daughter to go along too. She said monday, before she remembered she has an appointment. She said i should try to convince sister to come along and i told her that isn't going to happen. Neither sister or daughter want to go for their own separate reasons. Then she said she had expected a bit of help from me and i told her i had been waiting for the day to be named and we would go. i said we now have Thursday(today) Friday, Sunday or Tuesday. she said she didn't think she wanted to go now, and i said i thought she was cutting off her nose to spite her face. i will ask her again today if she meant it. i don't believe she did. There is time.
Daughter, Auntie Nurse and i went out shopping yesterday. Two new pair of pants for fall, a gauze pant, shell, and shirt jacket (which can be worn separately)two new slips, one black, one white, a black dress w/jacket for work and a beige capri pant with matching mandrin collar and frog-closure shirt.i can wear the shirt with the black trousers or the navy blue. All on sale, some more than others. Then i went to Dillard's and worked the same sale magic only even better. Got 150$ worth of shoes for $38.75. A nice pair of black sandals for work, a pair of white Bass sandals for work, and a pair of beige ones with a bit of a heel for work when i don't have to walk anyplace besides the classrooms. i really could do with a couple more blouses or light sweaters for winter, but i don't know if i'm going to have the opportunity to shop more.
Today will try to get the 'girls' to go with me for food shopping and to WalMart for a b/p cuff for Master. A few otc's for the home pharmacy and then my bags should be full. i have to get a box for some books from sister. Master thinks He has an APO address where i can send the books. Will be cheaper and faster than regular post. Kuwait postal service sucks big time. He thought it would allow up to 70lbs. but i don't think He's checked yet.
The computer neighbor from up the street came over and got Daughter's computer online. It seems everyone had done everything right except the utility company who provides the service. Fortunately Cory works for said company and knew all the bells and whistles and keys and got her all straightened out. She has Net. With her computer online and dvd/vcr player we may never see her downstairs again. i told Mother not to let her get a dorm reefer in her room. She spent a good part of the afternoon picking it up and getting it presentable for Cory. That made me pleased. Then he took a look at Mother's computer so all are in good shape and ready to go.
Today i should work on my school stuff, but i can't seem to get motivated.
