jdmkleinOnent came over after work yesterday. She and her husband have been on weight watchers since April. She's lost over 20 pounds. She looks fantastic. i think i hate her. She told me my other high school friend is on it again too. The three of us are getting together Sunday. i am really going to feel the whale.
Mother asks the stupidest questions, just to provoke an argument i think. She got to ragging on Daughter about keeping her closet door open. Of all the dumb things to get on someone's back about. If you don't like looking at her closet, stay out of her room for goodness sake. Ok, so Daughter did ask for new knobs on the door. So what? And she wonders why Daughter gets snippy.
This is turning out to be the vacation from hell. i am not getting any down time. i tried to change my departure date so i could have at least one day to chill back in Kuwait before i had to go back to the office. Isn't going to happen. The flight on the 15th is fully booked. Given the stress all last year, and the stress of this vacation, i'm seriously considering stepping down. i know there is going to be a firestorm when i walk back into the office and i am not looking forward to that at all.
The problem is i probably wouldn't be allowed to do it until the second semester and by then i might be in a looney bin, so who would care?
My laptop is still down and that concerns me too. i was intending to do more work on the fall course. i really don't want to be creating and teaching at the same time. i have about half of it done and would like to be at 75%. Tomorrow i'm going to P'burg to see if J can dig out the worm. For the life of me, i can't understand why people do things like this. Just because they can? Doesn't make sense to me.
